  Durable
doorsets that withstand the rigours of healthcare buildings
Hygieniform is available in a wide range of standard colours as
depicted in facing options
and can complement any interior design theme.
Hygienilac® is also being added to Leaderflush Shapland's
powder-coated aluminium and stainless steel Architectural
Hardware products to provide an extremely durable finish with
long-lasting antibacterial properties.
Guidance in the NHS document HFN (Health Facilities Note) 30 -
Infection Control in the Built Environment - calls for smooth,
hard impervious surfaces which are easy to clean and durable.
The 'softer' radiused edges of Plasform® contribute to
user-safety whilst being low maintenance and tough enough to
withstand the rough and tumble of the busiest hospital. Ledges,
recesses and right angles, where dust particles can be trapped,
are avoided to allow ease of cleaning. The value of the
distinctive postformed profile of Plasform® is also
recognised in the NHS guidance document HTM (Health Technical
Memorandum) 69 - Protection - for its part in protecting door
edges in healthcare environments.
This all adds up to a complete, hygienic solution covering all
aspects of the doorset for all the areas that are important for
infection control - door frame, door leaf, door handles and push
plates.
The high performing Plasform® doorset solution is suitable
for the most demanding situations including surgery suites,
pathology labs and pharmacies and can also satisfy a wide range
of technical requirements including X-ray protection, fire
resistance, smoke containment and impressive sound reduction.
Providing a comfortable and therapeutic environment for
patients which is both flexible and adaptable whilst meeting a
range of complex technological requirements makes healthcare one
of the most challenging areas for the building industry. The
Plasform® range of doorsets with its unique combination of
attributes is the ideal choice to meet the demands of today's
health sector and Leaderflush Shapland boasts a long history of
success in this area having manufactured nearly 40,000 doorsets
for more than 300 healthcare projects in the last 12 months.
