A Splash of Beauty and Performance at Award Winning Devonshire Spa Conversion
Performance doorsets from Leaderflush Shapland’s Designer Range were specified for the beautifully converted Devonshire Spa at the University of Derby, Buxton. The Spa’s history is an eventful one. In the mid-nineteenth century, the sixth Duke of Devonshire gave his consent to convert his royal stables into a hospital and, after hydrotherapy baths were added in 1913-14, the Royal Devonshire Hospital became a centre for excellence in hydrotherapies until its closure in 2000. Today, the Spa is the latest stage in the University’s award-winning £23m conversion project.

Leaderflush Shapland's Designer Range Performs at Portobello Dock
Performance doorsets from Leaderflush Shapland have been specified for Portobello Dock, an exciting waterside urban regeneration development in London. Previously Virgin EMI’s headquarters, the site comprises a mix of interesting Victorian warehouse and office buildings, with some being refurbished for new mixed uses, and a new landmark office building. Meeting the performance demands of this unique development, 174 doorsets providing fire resistance of 30 minutes were specified with sound reduction levels as high as 32 RwdB in constructions that reduce weight, frame thickness, costs and lead times.
